Metal Roofing

Hidden Fastner

The primary feature is that the fasteners are hidden withing the panel joints, not exposed on the roof surface. This design provides a clean, sleek look compared to exposed fastener metal roofs. By eliminating exposed screw holes, hidden fastener systems are considered more weathertight and can better withstand heavy rain and snow. Most commonly, hidden fastener systems utilize standing seam panels, which have raised vertical seams that lock together to conceal the fasteners.

Exposed Fastener

Exposed fastener panels are the most economical form of metal roofing.  Panels are over-lapped and fastened directly to the roof deck through the face of the metal panel. These panels are called exposed fastener because the fastener head remains visible once installed. To help blend with panels, fastener heads are painted the same color as the roofing panels. Most exposed fastener panels are typically 3’ wide, meaning that fewer panels (and less labor) will be needed to cover the roof area.

Flat/Membrane Roofing

If you have a flat roof facet anywhere, you’re going to need something different than asphalt shingles. Even if you get an entire asphalt roof replacement, that specific low slope area has to have a membrane or metal roof installed over it. Both are great options, but the commonly used and cheaper option is a membrane roof system. But you’ll have more than one membrane roofing choice.

EPDM (ethylene propylene diene terpolymer) is a synthetic rubber black membrane commonly used in commercial and medical facilities. While it’s used mostly in commercial, EPDM has its place in residential roofing.

TPO (thermoplastic polyolefin) is a single-ply white membrane used in both commercial and residential roofing. Unlike EPDM, TPO’s white membrane reflects heat instead of absorbing it.

PVC (polyvinyl chloride) is also a single-ply white membrane used in commercial and residential roofing. PVC is also a great choice for any flat or low slope over a living space or bedroom.

Roof Repair

Storm Damage (Hail, Wind)

Hail damage results in granule loss on asphalt shingles which exposes the fiber glass mat and may lead to leaks.
Wind damage can happen with debris (trampolines, garbage cans, etc) blowing into your roof or tree limbs falling on the roof causing damage or can lead to lifting of shingles which may cause them to tear and lead to leaking problems.
Roof Leaks, if not addressed, can lead to interior damage and mold growth

Roof Ventilation

Roof ventilation is absolutely essential for maintaining the health of your roof. It facilitates effective air circulation, which prevents overheating and ensures that your shingles last longer. By promoting a cooler roof, you are also safeguarding the structural integrity of your entire roofing system. A robust roof ventilation system is a critical component of your roof, consisting of various vent types, including soffit vents, ridge vents, gable end vents, and power attic ventilators. Prioritizing roof ventilation will significantly enhance the durability and performance of your roofing.

Roof Installation

Asphalt Shingles

On full roof replacements we tear off the old roofing down to the decking to make sure the decking does not have any damage and meets proper city building codes. We then Install the drip edge, ice & water barrier, synthetic/felt underlayment, step/chimney flashings, shingle starter course, shingles, any ventilation vents or ridge vent, ridge cap, and pipe jacks. We then remount satellites if the customer wants them back up and finish by sealing all exposed nail heads with all weather roofing sealant to make sure those penetrations do not cause a leak.
